Dr. R. Lakshmi Narayan

Title:Effect of long-term ageing and associated precipitation on the fatigue and creep behavior of a Ni-based superalloy

标题:长期时效及相关析出相对镍基高温合金疲劳与蠕变行为的影响

Biography:Dr. R. Lakshmi Narayan is an Associate Professor at IIT Delhi. His research centers on fracture, fatigue, creep and structure property correlations in conventionally and additively manufactured metals and alloys (both crystalline and amorphous). He uses in situ TEM nanoindentation, X-ray tomography, and other advanced characterization tools to investigate structureproperty correlations. He earned his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, and held postdoctoral positions at Carnegie Mellon University and NTU Singapore, with prior affiliations as a Visiting Scientist at Xi'an Jiaotong University (CAMP-Nano). His honors include the INSA Young Scientist Medal, the IIT Delhi Teaching Excellence Award, and multiple outstanding reviewer awards from Acta Materialia and Scripta Materialia.

简介:Dr. R. Lakshmi Narayan现任印度理工学院德里分校副教授。他的研究方向为传统制备与增材制造金属及合金(晶态与非晶态)的断裂、疲劳、蠕变行为及组织-性能关联。他采用原位透射电镜纳米压痕、X射线断层扫描等先进表征技术研究材料组织与性能的内在关系。Dr. R. Dr. Wentao Yan

Title:Multi-scale Multi-physics Modeling of Additive Manufacturing: Process, Microstructure, and Property

标题:增材制造的多尺度多物理场建模:工艺、显微组织与性能

Biography:Dr. Wentao Yan is an associate professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS). Before joining NUS in 2018, Dr. Yan was a postdoctoral fellow at Northwestern University in the USA. He received his Ph.D. degree jointly at Tsinghua University, Beijing and Northwestern University, USA. He got his Bachelor degree from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Tsinghua University, Beijing in 2012. Supported by multi-million-dollar grants, his research group with 20+ students focus on multi-scale multi-physics modeling, experimental investigation and data analysis of additive manufacturing. ~30 of his former postdocs and PhD students have got faculty positions. He has published >160 papers on flagship journals, such as Nature Communications, Acta Materialia, JMPS and CMAME, which have received over 10,000 citations. His team was the biggest winner consecutively in the 2022 and 2025 NIST AM-Bench Simulation Challenges, by winning 9 awards out of totally 40 in 2022 and 9 awards of totally 25 in 2025. He has won multiple best paper awards in various journals. He currently serves as the Senior Editor for Additive Manufacturing Journal (IF: 11.1) and an editorial board member for International Journal of Machine Tools and Manufacture (IF: 18.8), Materials & Design (IF: 7.9), and a few others.

简介:Dr. Wentao Yan现任新加坡国立大学(NUS)机械工程系副教授。2018年加入新加坡国立大学之前,Dr. Wentao Yan在美国西北大学从事博士后研究。他先后在清华大学与美国西北大学联合培养获得博士学位,并于2012年在清华大学机械工程系取得学士学位。在多项数百万美元级别科研项目资助下,其团队现有20余名学生,主要从事增材制造的多尺度多物理场建模、实验研究与数据分析工作。他已培养近30名博士后及博士毕业生进入高校担任教职。Dr. Wentao Yan在《自然·通讯》、《材料学报》、《固体力学与物理学报》、《计算机方法在应用力学与工程中的应用》等顶级期刊发表论文160余篇,被引次数超10000次。其团队连续成为2022年和2025年美国国家标准与技术研究院增材制造仿真大赛(NIST AM-Bench)的最大赢家,分别在40项奖项中斩获9项、在25项奖项中斩获9项。他还曾在多个期刊获得最佳论文奖。目前,Dr. Wentao Yan担任《增材制造》期刊(影响因子11.1)资深编辑,并担任《国际机床与制造期刊》(影响因子18.8)、《材料与设计》(影响因子7.9)等多个期刊的编委。


Dr. Punit Kumar

Biography:Dr. Punit Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. His research group focuses on the development of advanced structural and functional materials for extreme environments, addressing challenges in affordable and clean energy for sustainable development and advancing humanity's reach beyond Earth. In addition, Dr. Kumar's group is interested in functional materials under coupled electro-thermo-mechanical stresses, including those that enable transformative technologies ranging from flexible electronics to resilient electronic systems for extreme environments. Given the multidimensional scope of this research, the group collaborates closely with data science experts in Singapore and with researchers worldwide, while leveraging NTUs state-of-the-art processing and characterization facilities.Before joining NTU, Dr. Kumar was a Project Scientist at the University of California, Berkeley, and affiliated with Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory as a Scientist. He earned his Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, where his research received the Acta Student Award in 2019. He has published more than 45 peer-reviewed articles and delivered keynote presentations at major conferences, including the International Conference on Fracture (Atlanta, 2023). He has also been recognized among the world's top 2% scientists by Elsevier/Stanford (2023, 2024, and 2025).

Prof.Guo Zixu

Title: Micromechanics of high-temperature alloys in aeroengines

标题航空发动机高温合金的微观力学

Biography:Guo Zixu is a Professor (tenure-track) at Beihang University. He earned his Bachelor’s and Ph.D. degrees from Beihang and previously served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore, as supervised by Prof. Wentao Yan. He has been selected for the National High-Level Talents Program for Young Scholars (Overseas), and awarded the “Doctoral Thesis Support Program” by the Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and received the 1st and 2nd prizes in the U.S. Additive Manufacturing Challenge (ranked #1).

His research focuses on high-temperature structural materials, metal additive manufacturing, and micro-mechanics. As first author (including co-first), he has published in high-impact interdisciplinary journals, including Nature Communications (highlighted paper), Materials Science and Engineering: R (IF = 26.8), and Advanced Science (cover paper); and in top-tier journals in mechanical engineering, materials science, and solid mechanics, such as Acta Materialia, International Journal of Plasticity (5 papers), and Journal of the Mechanics and Physics of Solids. His publications include 2 cover papers, 3 ESI Highly Cited Papers, and 6 top-downloaded papers from Elsevier and Wiley.

简介:郭子绪现为北京航空航天大学长聘副教授。他于北京航空航天大学先后获得学士及博士学位,曾在新加坡国立大学从事博士后研究,师从 Prof. Wentao Yan。并且入选了国家级高层次青年人才计划(海外),获“中国航空学会研究生学位论文托举工程”资助,并在美国增材制造大赛中获一等奖、二等奖(排名第一)。主要研究方向为高温结构材料、金属增材制造及微观力学。以第一作者(含共同一作)身份在《自然·通讯》、(亮点论文)、《材料科学与工程:R综述》(影响因子26.8)、《先进科学》(封面论文)等高水平交叉学科期刊,以及《材料学报》、《国际塑性学报》(5篇)、《固体力学与物理学报》等机械工程、材料科学与固体力学领域顶级期刊发表学术论文。其成果包括2篇封面论文、3ESI高被引论文及6篇爱思唯尔、威利出版社高下载量论文。


Dr. Yakai Zhao

Title: From Fundamentals to Frontiers: Nanoindentation for Investigating the Mechanical Behavior of Advanced Alloys

标题:从基础到前沿:纳米压痕技术用于研究先进合金的力学行为

Biography:Dr. Yakai Zhao is currently a Senior Scientist at Future Energy Acceleration and Translation (FEAT) and Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (IMRE), Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore. He received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Harbin Institute of Technology (China) and Hanyang University (South Korea), respectively. After a stint of post-doc at Beijing Institute of Technology, he joined Prof. Upadrasta Ramamurty’s group at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, as a Research Fellow in 2019 and then a Senior Research Fellow in 2021–2023. Dr. Zhao’s research focuses fundamentals and applications of micro-/nano-mechanics, hydrogen embrittlement of materials, and the design and characterization of high-entropy alloys and additively manufactured alloys. As PI or Co-I, he has secured and directly managed approximately SGD 6.06 million in cumulative project budget. He has authored over 70 peer-reviewed publications in leading journals such as Acta Materialia, Journal of Materials Science and Technology, International Journal of Plasticity, Additive Manufacturing, etc., achieving an H-index of 29. He serves as the Youth Editor/Editorial Committee Member for journals like Journal of Materials Science and Technology and Metals and Materials International, and regularly reviews for top-tier journals including Acta Materialia, International Materials Review, International Journal of Plasticity. He was listed among the World’s Top 2% Scientists (2024) and named Outstanding Reviewer for Acta Materialia and Scripta Materialia (2020–2024).

Prof.Siyuan Wei

Title: Harnessing Ultra-Fast Solidification for Next-Generation Alloy Design in 3D Printing

标题:利用超快凝固技术实现3D打印新一代合金设计

Biography:Dr. Siyuan Wei received his PhD from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and is currently a Scientist at the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering, Agency for Science, Technology and Research, Singapore. His research interests include metal additive manufacturing, solidification control, complex alloy design, and microstructural engineering. In recent years, he has focused on integrating thermodynamic and kinetic calculations with artificial intelligence approaches to establish new materials design frameworks for additive manufacturing, enabling the synergistic optimization of alloy composition, processing, and properties. He has served as the Principal Investigator of research grants including the Singapore Young Individual Research Grant and Industrial Alignment Fund. He has published more than 40 papers in international journals such as Acta Materialia, Journal of Materials Science & Technology, and Additive Manufacturing, with over 1,000 citations. He has also served as a long-term reviewer for several leading international journals, including Acta Materialia and Scripta Materialia, and received the 2024 Acta Materialia Reviewer Award.

简介:Dr. Siyuan Wei 获新加坡南洋理工大学博士学位,现任新加坡科技研究局(A*STAR)材料研究与工程研究所科学家。其研究方向涵盖金属增材制造、凝固控制、复杂合金设计及显微结构工程。近年来,他主要致力于将热力学与动力学计算同人工智能方法相结合,构建适用于增材制造的全新材料设计体系,实现合金成分、制备工艺与材料性能的协同优化。Dr. Siyuan Wei 作为项目负责人,主持包括新加坡青年独立研究基金、产业协同基金在内的多项科研项目。迄今已在《材料学报》、《材料科学技术学报》、《增材制造》等国际知名期刊发表学术论文40余篇,被引超1000次。同时,他长期担任《材料学报》、《材料快报》等多家国际顶级期刊审稿人,并荣获2024年度《材料学报》优秀审稿人奖。


Prof.Jiangjing Wang


Title:Phase-change materials for non-volatile memory and neuromorphic computing

标题:面向非易失存储器与神经形态计算的相变材料

Biography:Professor Jiangjing Wang is a faculty member at Xi’an Jiaotong University. He got the PhD degree in Xi’an Jiaotong University, then went to RWTH Aachen University in Germany for postdoctoral research and was awarded a Humboldt Research Fellowship. He joined Xi’an Jiaotong University in 2021 and was achieved a national-level young talent program in 2023. His research focuses on the phase-change materials for non-volatile memory and neuromorphic computing. He has published more than 40 peer-reviewed papers in internationally renowned journals, including papers in journals such as Science, Nat Mater and Nat Commun as the first or corresponding author. He has been granted more than 10 invention patents related to phase-change materials.

简介:王疆靖教授现为西安交通大学在职教师。他于西安交通大学取得博士学位,随后前往德国亚琛工业大学开展博士后研究,并获评洪堡研究学者(获洪堡研究奖学金资助)。2021年他入职西安交通大学。其研究方向为面向非易失存储器与神经形态计算的相变材料。他以第一作者或通讯作者身份,在《Science》、《自然・材料》、《自然・通讯等国际知名期刊发表同行评审论文40余篇,同时拥有相变材料相关发明专利10余项。


Prof. Kai Chen

Title: Synchrotron-based micro-Laue diffraction: principle and applications

标题:基于同步辐射的显微劳厄衍射:原理与应用

Biography:Professor Kai Chen is a faculty member at Xi’an Jiaotong University. During his doctoral studies, he was awarded a fellowship from the U.S. Department of Energy and participated, as the third major contributor, in the full construction and commissioning of a synchrotron micro-Laue beamline at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where he was responsible for designing an in situ multifield-coupled experimental system. He joined Xi’an Jiaotong University in 2011 and was selected for a national-level young talent program in the same year. His research focuses on the characterization and manipulation of microstructure and stress in materials. He serves as a member of the committee of the Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility, a council member of the Chinese Heat Treatment Society, Chair of the Shaanxi Materials and Heat Treatment Society, and an expert for the Ministry of Education’s teaching resource development project in the key field of gas turbines. He has been granted more than 30 invention patents and over 10 software copyrights, and has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers in internationally renowned journals such as Science and Advanced Materials. At the Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility test beamline, he designed and established China’s first micro-Laue beamline, with the related work published as a cover article in Science China Materials.

简介:陈凯教授任职于西安交通大学。博士期间,他获美国能源部奖学金资助,并作为第三主要完成人,全程参与美国劳伦斯伯克利国家实验室同步辐射显微劳厄衍射光束线的建设与调试,负责原位多场耦合实验系统设计。他于2011年入职西安交通大学,同年入选教育部“新世纪人才”支持计划。主要研究方向为材料微观结构与应力的表征及调控。现任上海同步辐射光源学术委员会委员、中国热处理学会理事、陕西省材料及热处理学会理事长,同时担任教育部燃气轮机重点领域教学资源建设项目专家。陈凯教授获授权发明专利30余项、软件著作权10余项,在《科学》《先进材料》等国际知名期刊发表同行评议论文100余篇。他在上海同步辐射光源测试光束线站设计并建成国内首条显微劳厄衍射光束线,相关成果以封面论文发表于《中国科学:材料科学》。
