The Center for Advancing Materials Performance from the Nanoscale (CAMP-Nano) is a first-class international research and development platform. Founded in 2008, CAMP-Nano is endowed with cutting-edge instruments, and powered by fun-loving and exploratory spirits, which make us a creative and happy team, an envied home. Campers strive to be pioneers at the frontiers of nanoscience and nanotechnology. Having enjoyed the camp life here, campers will become leaders in academia, industry or business. Our research focuses on investigating materials behaviors at the Nanoscale, and the specific interests include but are not limited to: Mechanical properties of Materials; Elastic Strain Engineering; Development and Application of New Electrochemical Energy Storage for Green Grid; Nuclear Energy Materials; Data storage and memory materials; Computational Materials Science; Air Pollution and Protection; Development and invention of advanced characterization instruments. CAMP-Nano is an international platform and has established multiple strong connections with top Universities, Research Institutions and Industrial Companies worldwide, including MIT, Johns Hopkins University, UC Berkeley, Carnegie Mellon University, University of Tennessee, University of Pittsburgh, RWTH Aachen University, Research Center Jülich, Hysitron, Inc., Hitachi High-Tech America, Inc., GM R&D Center, and so on.
