The 10th APCFS was grandly held on Sep. 19, 2016 at Toyama International Conference center. 400 Fracture and Strength experts and scholars from more than 10 countries, such as China, Japan, Korea, Australia, USA, attended the conference. Prof. Jun Sun from Xi’an Jiaotong University was invited to make a 40 minutes report at APCFS.

Asia-Pacific Conference on Fracture and Strength (APCFS) is the highest level of academic conferences on mechanical material fracture disciplines in the Asia-pacific region, held after every two years. The conference refers to all aspects of the fracture discipline, fracture mechanics, mechanism of fracture and fatigue, fracture experiment technology, the component stress analysis, engineering application, etc. Prof. Jun Sun, the president of material branch of Chinese Mechanical engineering society lead the Chinese group to attend the conference. The Chinese group was composed of more than 50 experts and scholars from Tsinghua University, institute of metal research in Chinese Academy of Sciences, Xi 'an Jiaotong University, Northeast University, and other scientific research institutions.

Additionally, four countries sodality comprised of China, Japan, Korea and Australia was held during APCFS and it was decided that next APCFS conference is going to be held in China in the year 2018.
