Prof. John Bell, the head of School of Chemistry, Physics and Mechanical Engineering, Queensland University of Technology (QUT) was invited by Prof. Zhiwei Shan to visit the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU-MSE) on November 22^nd, 2016. Prof. Wei Zhang and Prof. Kai Chen had a thorough discussion with Prof. Bell on issues about further collaborations, exchanging students and other relevant matters.

Prof. John Bell, Prof. Yuantong Gu and Prof. Zhiwei Shan have successfully applied the Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery project. We all believe that the cooperation on ARC Discovery project between Prof. Bell and Prof. Shan will serve as a seed to obtain a bigger cooperation between XJTU and QUT.
